laurelin_kitAnd now it's time for another round of "What movie can Kit justify watching in the name of research?" Tonight we'll be showing Timeline. This movie has it all! The Middle Ages, Gerard Butler with no shirt on, Anna Friel being suitably adorable, a punchable Paul Walker, a Hermione-esque Frances O'Connor and DAVID THEWLIS'S GINORMOUS COCK still in his trousers. I am convinced that this movie has the highest concentration of Really Blue Eyes since Elijah Wood made a home video.
Oh, and all that historical stuff is pretty neat. You know, in an I'm-completely-engulfed-in-the-Middle-Ages-right-now way. If my mom weren't recording Survivor, I'd totally be watching A Knight's Tale, for the gay gay gayness and Chaucer's hot naked body. Because we're reading the Canterbury Tales in AP, and it's nice to do research. Lots of research, involving a naked Paul Bettany and me.
I'd like to meet movieverse!Chris from Timeline. He is not my Chris, my fussy, history of science major, stomach-trouble-y Chris from the book. I would like to punch movieverse!Chris. Over and over and over.
This movie makes me want to be an archaeologist. I wanted to be a paleontologist when I was little, because I loved dinosaurs. Of course. But now, I really think it would be incredibly neat to be an archaeologist. Or a historian. (I'm just that dull, really.)
