Just had a really pissed off entry up for about ten minutes before I locked it again. Although the point I'd really like to make is that I'd like some feedback and comments on this entry, because...I still haven't turned in my proposal form. I don't know what I'm going to do.

BUT! That is not the point of this post! I am pissed off! BUT! That does not mean rantage shall follow!

Remember a few entries back I mentioned the "fall-through-the-movie-screen-into-the-movie" King Arthur fic? And I posted, in it's entirety, the review I sent?

I got a response. Oh, did I ever. In the bio of their page.

Time to crush some dreams.

Their response to my review: In response to the reviewers/flamers "laurelin-kit", " ", and "Disappointed"...

First off, I realize that you all don't like the fic and I can respect that. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, after all.

But there are some things about your reviews that I *don't* appreciate, however. The first being that my friend and I have been addressed in such a way that you'd think we were just idiots with nothing better to do than sit around and drool over fictional characters. Yeah. Guess what? Just like most people, we actually *do* have lives.

Secondly, one of you referred to what we're doing as "raping the medium", when you admitted in a previous paragraph that you had written a fic of the same nature. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that sounds more than a bit hypocritical to me.

I *especially* (note the dripping sarcasm there) enjoyed that all three of you suggested that we alter the fic in some way. Two of you suggested that we add to the summary (either "blatant Mary-Sue" or "Don't read this, it's just up for posterity"), two of you said to stop writing it altogether or just leave it off the Internet, and one of you suggested that we make it serious. If any of you think that Tian and I will take a look at your reviews, burst into tears, and alter it to fit your needs, then you're just a bunch of delusional morons.

Because you, if you haven't noticed, are in the minority. Some people actually *enjoyed* reading the fic (shocking, isn't it?) because they actually appreciate that we're just having fun.

And, since this is becoming much longer than I'd originally intended, I'm just going to say one last thing:

If you people ever flame anything else I/we have written, do me a favor. Get some guts and sign an actual account name (or leave an email address), so I can actually tell you what I think instead of posting it on my bio where there's little chance you'll even see it. Signing anonymusly and being afraid of getting a reaction from the writers is pretty cowardly.

Second. My not leaving my ff.net address? This is not so much cowardice as it is covering my bases. I've left thought-out reviews like this before and I've had an author and her sockpuppets leave reviews on almost all my fics with sticky caps and personal insults. And email addresses? So many times I've had people sign me up for spam because they think I have INSULTED them DEEPLY to their HEART.

Flame? FLAME? These girls don't know the MEANING of the word flame. I left a REVIEW. That's one of the things that pisses me off most of all, when people don't know the meanings of those two words.

I gave my (secondary) email address, and hopefully they'll respond quickly. I neeeeeed to be amused.

Well, as Kiefer says, ya cant jump in a bucket of shit and not expect to get any on ya. Ya made the girl mad. Happens to the best of us. The older I get, the more I realize how retarded the whole Sue thing is. S'like, Witch Hunt anyone? Yeah, let em have fun, if they wanna write the next Odyssey, they'll go for it themselves. If not then...nobody will actually be directly affected by the fic itself... so...big deal..?
