HELP! I'm just getting into this! Could you direct me to a good site with synopsises for each season, including when the hell Angel broke off and how this whole CEO!Angel thing started? Or possibly, explain it yourself? And where did Dawn come from? Who's DOYLE? When did Spike turn good? When did Angel leave? Where did Faith come from and why did she leave? HEEEELP!

Date: 2004-02-05 04:07 am (UTC)~ Dawn is buffy's lil sis. popped up around the third (?) season I think.
~DOYLE! (yum, sry) In the first season of angel, doyle was this scottish half demon who recruited angel to work for killing evil bad guys in los angelas. He hung around for most of the first season, but tragically :( sacrificed himself to save a group of good demons that angel was trying to protect (Episode: Hero. Damn good episode.). Doyle had these vision things that showed him where the next victim that angel would need to save would be. Before he died he transfered all his powers to cordelia, but that's another story.
~ I think spike turned officially good when he got a soul in the last season of buffy. he did some good deeds before that, i guess, when he was all obsessive over buffy.
~Angel left right after prom and the vanquishing of the evil governer man! sry, don't remember what season...
~ Now, I believe that faith came when Buffy supposedly died and they needed another slayer. Technically there's only supposed to be one, but they bent the rules when buffy came back alive again. I THINK that she came over with Wesley as her watcher, and when she met up with buffy they teamed up before Faith went psycho crazy and joined forces with afformentioned dead evil governor THING. I don't really remember why faith left- but i remember it was all dramatic. NOt that that helps much. Perhaps it was because Buffy beat her, I dunno. But I DO know that she skipped over to Angel for a couple of episodes...
The best bet for understanding any of this without getting really confused is prolly to rent the season set dvd's and watch them. O.o Ah, now I have to go look up pictures of Doyle online... ::smirk::

Date: 2004-02-05 10:41 pm (UTC)After the end of "BtVS" season three, Angel and Cordelia left the show and moved to the spin-off. The CEO!Angel storyline started during the Season Four finale and has continued on into this (the fifth) season.
And where did Dawn come from?
Dawn is a magical entity known as The Key, which was transformed into a human girl and sent to the Slayer for protection from an insane hell-god (Glorificus) during "BtVS" Season Five. All of the characters were given "false" memories in which Dawn existed from the beginning.
Who's DOYLE?
*points to icon*
Doyle was Angel's original guide to the Powers That Be, an Irish half-human/half-demon who just happens to be one of my favorite characters--even though he was only on the first nine episodes of "Angel". He died a hero in the episode "Hero" (aptly named, no?).
When did Spike turn good?
That's a good question...
I think that it would be easier to point you to some sites that have episode summaries than to try and explain Spike becoming "good".

When did Angel leave?
He left "BtVS" on the Season Three finale, after the good guys blew up the high school.
Where did Faith come from and why did she leave?
Kendra became Slayer when Buffy temporarily died, and after her death Faith became Slayer. After growing up on the streets of Chicago (I think...), she walked on the dark side. She accidentally killed a man, started working for the major bad guy of "BtVS" Season Three, and Buffy eventually had to fight her--putting her into a coma for months.
She woke from the coma, stole Buffy's body using magic, was sent back to her own body, went to L.A., was hired by Wolfram & Hart to kill Angel, tortured Wesley, broke down, and turned herself into the cops.
She was then in jail for a few years, until they broke her out to fight Angelus. Then she went with Willow to help fight the First Evil in Sunnydale.

She jumped into a portal of energy that was opening a hole between dimensions to save both her sister (Dawn) and the world. In the Season Six premiere, her friend Willow (the witch) used dark magic to pull her out of heaven (they thought she was in a hell dimension) and bring her back from the dead.
