Smelly fingers!
Mar. 16th, 2007 10:59 amHoly God, my hands smell. Well, my right hand. My right hand smells like smelly death. Or Minwax stain. The coffee table is drying out in the garage and the pipe legs are also drying out after being painted, and tomorrow I'll be able to stand it up straight and then seal it with polyurethane and then go to JoAnn's and get fabric and foam and batting for the cushion. I'm excited, though. Very excited.
I'm glad I picked a relatively simple table to make first. I was a little leery of making something for someone else before testing out my mad skillz, but it's simpler and it's worked out fine, and Dad has been standing over my shoulder helping me. And cutting the wood, because Walk the Line instilled me with a healthy fear of power saws. Apparently I'll have enough plywood left to make the storage bench, and if not, we can just get a tiny bit more. I do need to buy tapered legs for the storage bench, though. But that's going to be a later project, since spring break is almost over.
Disappointingly, I don't think I'll have all of Felicity season two downloaded by the time I leave. It's been going for days and it's still only at 30%.
Ugh, I just put my hand near my face to use the phone. Big mistake. Pheeeeeeeuw.
Right, so, I went to the zoo today. It's gotten bigger and nicer since I was there last. It's almost a real zoo now. ;) I did not get to see any lemurs, though. Tragically. At any rate, here's A CRAPLOAD OF PHOTOS from the zoo trip. (By the way, my camera is awesome beyond words. 10x optical zoom is PERFECT for the zoo.
Soon I shall go to the other room, watch my taped Grey's Anatomy and eat some ice cream.
