Eeeheeehee! Awesome rant. All about the stupid stereotypical arguments for women-in-home being a Natural Thing.

I am so annoyed with my English class. There's a girl in there who I've described as a female Adam, and my god, is she ever ignorant. She doesn't know what Bush looks like, has never seen him on TV, didn't know about the Geneva convention and yet does her papers on these huge political issues. Today, she was talking about the oil crisis and stopped in the middle of her speech and asked how to pronounce a country's name. Arab. Which is not a country. She kept pronouncing it differently each time and then finally settled on making it rhyme with "Iraq." And at the beginning of class, she also asked, "So...the proposal and the essay are two different things?" We have been working on this for weeks now! Months! How did you not know that the proposal and the essay were two different things? How? And how do you spend weeks writing a paper on the oil crisis and not know that the country's name is Saudi Arabia or how to pronounce it? Or the difference between it and Iraq? GAHHHH.

I'm really wishing that I had done my essay on how feminism is dying a horrible skanky death in the face of women who don't wait for men to objectify them and do the work for them.

I don't know if anyone else but me saw Monster-in-law (My parents rented it! Not me! And Michael Vartan is cute!), but the beginning has a bit of comedy gold along those veins.

Viola Fields: What do you do for fun?
Pop Star: I love watching really old movies. They're my favorite.
Viola Fields: Really? Really? Which ones?
Pop Star: Well, "Grease" and "Grease II." Um, "Benji." I love "Benji." "Free Willy," um..."Legally Blonde," "The Little Mermaid."

There's another one I can't find, but it's something along the lines of dumb pop star thinking Roe Vs. Wade was a wrestling/boxing match, and Jane Fonda jumping her and beating the everloving hell out of her. Which...yes. Carry on.
