Apr. 3rd, 2006 04:38 pmThis past weekend, Grant and I celebrated our one-year anniversary.
On Friday we went to the California Pizza Kitchen and saw Slither, which was awesome, if you were wondering. It's like a gorier, ickier Tremors, and had some great, great, great one-liners. On Saturday, we were going to go to the zoo, but Grant nearly passed out when he stood up in the morning, so...not so much. We watched High Fidelity and then Grant fixed a fantastic steak dinner and we drank champagne. Or, well, he drank champagne. The entire bottle. I've resigned myself to the idea that I will only be an imbiber of "girl drinks." Some weekend we're going to make me strawberry daiquiris. Anyway, after the awesome awesome dinner we made brownies and watched Sin City (first date!).
On Sunday we did end up going to the zoo, and it was glorious fun! I love zoos. Grant made me a data CD of several albums that I need to listen to and we tried to go to the store to buy Oblivion but Best Buy was closed! At 8:30 at night! THE HELL?! GameSpot was also closed and Wal-Mart and Target were both sold out and so we slunk back in defeat, woe. Then we watched Grizzly Man (I watched all of it, Grant worked on his paper for half of it), which was HILARIOUS. INSANE. ("WE NEED RAIN! DOWNEY IS STARVING! MELISSA IS EATING HER BABIES!" "It came out of her butt! It was just inside her! I can feel the heat!" "I love you! I love you! I love you!" All of these things said either to or about giant grizzly bears that can killlll youuu.) The whole thing was hugely ironic and horrible and morbidly funny and sometimes depressing and creepy.
So now I'm going to try and play through KOTOR again as dark side.
(P.S. ♥ to you.)
