Oh, today we saw Rent. Very good. I liked it. I also cried. I also need someone to send me Rosario Dawson's version of "Going Out" or whatever the exact title it is.

After I finished watching tonight's Desperate Housewives (which I taped), I realized the tape it was on has old Buffy episodes on it, so I went on and am watching the first episode of S3, "Anne." I do like this episode. There's this moment where Buffy tells Lilly that Ricky is dead and she pauses for a beat and then says, in this small broken voice, "But...he takes care of me." It kills me every time.

And I miss bitter, angry Buffy that just wants to be normal. Once she got all noble and took the high road about everything, she just pissed me off.

And ohhhh, CORDY. This is bitch!Cordy episodes! With Xander! Charisma Carpenter is really one of those actresses that I desperately want to have a movie career. I don't worry so much about Kristen Bell, because she's totally going places, but Charisma is a goddess and deserves big fame and lots of photo ops. She needs to be a name that everyone knows.

And really, the Malkovich doppleganger in this episode continually freaks me out because I'm not entirely sure that he's a separate entity from Malkovich. Who knows, Malkovich might sometimes be sick of himself and turn himself into...Carlos Jacott and play characters in Buffy and Angel and Firefly and...Being John Malkovich. (Ahh, now I remember who he was in there now.)
