This is the greatest episode of Everyday Italian I've ever seen. Giada's Aunt Raffy has come to help her cook and has COMPLETELY taken over.

"Why are you cutting your onions like that? That is not how you cut the onions."

"You do not add vinegar? You add vinegar or you add wine, and I suppose we will add wine. That was your glass, by the way."

"How about some parsley for some color and flavor - " "No thank you." "You don't think it needs a little bit of green?" "No."

"Did you taste the meatball? Nice and spicy, right?" "For me, it is not spicy. It is mild."

"Why do you use your fine salt in the water?" "I'm...not. It's kosher salt." "Because in Italy we use ROCK SALT."

Hee.
It is like when Martha Stewart's Mother would come on the show and immediately go, "no. That's not how I do it."

Nice thing about family, no matter how big/famous you get they can always knock you down a peg or two.

Aunt Raffy is fierce. I LOVE when she comes over. And I love that Giada had the make the meatballs ahead of time so Raffy wouldn't figure out she uses ketchup in it. CLASSIC.
