I was all set to sit up last night and write lots and lots of the Horatio/Mariette/Archie with [livejournal.com profile] sinister_beauty, but my mother popped out of nowhere and made me go to bed. Dammit. I was really all in the mood to write some! It's eating my soul and all I can think of is the sexual tension and the unresolved porn.

Now I'm stuck on the doomsday filtered internet computer trying to find detailed pages on feudalism. I swear, this page I'm on? So useless. All the links are broken, it's got a dark purple background with red text (in addition to being hard to read, it's also fugly.) and has a gif of a glimmering sword at the bottom that says "Ye Olde Return Button." I feel my brain dying from lameness. At least it's not in Comic Sans MS. Although it is in Times New Roman at about size 16 (the point size at which TMR ceases to become neat and just looks stupid. USE SANS SERIF OR A SERIF FONT THAT LOOKS BETTER AT A BIGGER POINT SIZE!)

This makes me want to make a site. A nice website, with readable text and nice graphics. Frames! NO CYAN! Headers! Footnotes! NO TIMES NEW ROMAN IN BIGGER THAN SIZE 12! I'd put all my fics, all my history research, all my manips, excerpts (short ones) from my novels! Oh yeah, I need a website.

KATEE GET YOUR FUCKING MAGAZINES OFF MY DESK, HOR

I'm okay. Really.

I think I'll go write or type something. In Garamond, or Georgia, or Verdana. Something NOT Times New Roman.

Ye Olde Return Button. Jesus.

Try not searching for "feudalism." Medieval historians (real ones, not little kids who are like YAY! Knights!) never use the term -- it's just a simplified model. *silently thanks her medieval history prof*

What should I search for? *begs, pleads, makes Bambi eyes*

AND YOU'RE IN MEDIEVAL HISTORY OMG. PLEASE HELP ME CHECK SOME OF MY INFORMATION IN MY RESEARCH PAPER AND MY NOVEL. I will make you whatever you want in Photoshop in payment.

What do you want information on? :p I mean, early or high Middle Ages? France, England, or the mess of territory that is now Germany? If you're really specific, hopefully you might find a real scholarly article.

And...sure! Just email what you have to me, and I'll look over it. ^_^ I can't say I'm an expert on medieval history (it's actually not that fun of a class. :( ). But I can compare stuff with my textbooks, and it should be good.

I'm mostly learning early medieval, though -- which is so not fun. Think St. Augustine through Charlemagne. With a lot of primary sources about saints, monks, and God thrown in.

Bigger and badder and increasingly more disgusting! (http://www.livejournal.com/users/laurelin_kit/220538.html)

Katee's a pain in my ass. At least Casey had occasional wit to snark. Katee just whines.

YAY, YOU'LL VISIT...dammit. On senior skip day. CRAP! I STILL LOVE YOU EVEN THOUGH I WON'T SEE YOU!

It always makes me laugh and drives me nuts that everywhere in England catering for tourists puts 'Ye Olde' in front of their name, and always sticks some extra 'e's in there somewhere for decoration. It just makes me think of Medieval Times, it's *that* authentic lol

When I went to Stratford-upon-Avon (and promptly left after going through the house and talking to a nice old man that recited cat poetry at us, it was worse than Disney), they had Iago's Jewelers. That's the most ridiculous thing ever. WOULD YOU BUY JEWELRY FROM IAGO? NO!

They wouldn't do it if dumbass tourists didn't buy into it though, that's the sad thing lol. Riding around in their stupid tour buses seeing their pre-approved version of the UK and...ugh. Kill me now. lol

The Iago from the Othello performance in Orlando last year was sexy. In a dark, charismatic way. Too bad he probably has a thing for Othello. But I don't think I'd BUY jewelry from him. Shop and browse and ogle him? Yes. Buy things? No.

but if you buy something, maybe he'll sleep with you

and i agree
iago at the shakespeare festival thing was hot.

HUUHH HUUUHHH WHO WOULD BUY THINGS FROM HIM?!

just teasing *wink* i love you!!!
